This happened to me on my ASUS board. I had to change the Secure Boot mode from "Custom" to "Standard" in the BIOS.

This. Before trying that, can you double-check if Secure Boot is actually enabled in your BIOS?

Yeah, that's exactly it. Also double-check that Secure Boot is enabled after the BIOS update, because sometimes it resets.
