I had the same problem. I was stuck on 4GB and the upgrade just wouldn't budge, so I had to add another stick of RAM.

+1 You could also try going into Windows Settings > Apps > Default apps and make sure your browser is set to handle HTTP and HTTPS links.

I had the same problem with a similar model. I finally got it to work by enabling Secure Boot and switching the BIOS from Legacy to UEFI mode.
