Agreed. This happened to me too. Rolling back my overclock and updating my BIOS first made the upgrade work without the crashes. Good luck!

+1 Also, double-check if your BIOS is in Legacy mode instead of UEFI, because Secure Boot requires UEFI.

Same here. You could also try enabling Secure Boot in the BIOS, as that's another common requirement the installer checks for.

Agreed. You could also check if there's a newer BIOS version available from HP's support site, as that sometimes adds TPM 2.0 support.

Re: Ugh, so my work PC (HP ProDesk 400 G3) is supposedly "compatible" but the Window?

Hey there, that's super frustrating, especially when you've checked the big boxes like TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. The HP ProDesk 400 G3 is right on the compatibility edge, so a few other things often trip it up.

Re: Ugh, so over this Windows 11 upgrade nightmare?

Hey, I totally feel your frustration. The i3-6100 is a solid CPU, and it's annoying to be blocked. Let's see what we can do.

First, the free route: The two main blockers are your CPU (6th Gen is officially unsupported) and TPM. The registry hack you tried is one part, but you also need to bypass ...

Hey there, I totally feel your frustration. That G4560 is a solid chip (I ran one for years!), and it's annoying to be blocked by the official list. You're right, Microsoft only supports 8th Gen and newer Intel CPUs, with very few 7th Gen exceptions.

Here’s a step-by-step for the most common free ...

Re: I'm trying to optimize some software and need to know the layout of my CPU?

Great question! Figuring out your P-core and E-core layout is key for optimization. Here are a few free methods, from easiest to most detailed:

**1. Task Manager (Quick Look):**
Right-click your taskbar, select "Task Manager," and go to the "Performance" tab. Click "CPU." You'll see a graph for ...
