You could also try using the official Media Creation Tool to do a clean install, which sometimes bypasses the stricter upgrade checks. Good luck!

Same here. Another option is to check if there's a newer BIOS update from your motherboard manufacturer that might add TPM 2.0 support. Hope that helps.

Yeah, and if that doesn't work, have you tried using the official Media Creation Tool to force the upgrade instead?

Agreed. I had the same problem with my old 6700k. I used the Media Creation Tool to make a bootable USB and did a clean install, which finally worked.
