Yeah this is common. I had this issue with an older laptop. Unfortunately, 4GB is a hard requirement, and there's no official workaround. You will need to upgrade to at least 8GB of RAM to proceed.

I’m trying to upgrade my Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, but the PC Health Check app says I don’t meet the RAM requirement. I have 4GB installed, which runs Windows 10 fine. Is 4GB really not enough for Windows 11? The error just says “This PC doesn’t meet the minimum system requirements.” Do I absolutely have to buy more RAM, or is there a workaround?

Can confirm. Yeah, 4GB is the absolute minimum for Windows 11, but you'll definitely want to upgrade to at least 8GB for it to run smoothly.

I had the same problem. I was stuck on 4GB and the upgrade just wouldn't budge, so I had to add another stick of RAM.

Yeah, that's exactly it. A quick tip: even if you find a workaround, running on just 4GB is going to feel pretty sluggish with Windows 11.

This. You could try adding another 4GB stick; it's often a cheap and simple upgrade.

Can confirm. Agreed, and if you're comfortable opening up your PC, checking your motherboard's specs online first can save you a trip to the store.

Same here. Yeah, that's the official hard limit. A small tip: if you're looking to upgrade, adding another 4GB stick is usually a cheap and simple fix.

Yeah, the 4GB minimum is a hard requirement, so you'll definitely need to upgrade your RAM first. Let me know if that works.
