Also, after you enable Secure Boot, you might need to change the boot mode from Legacy to UEFI.

Agreed. Yeah, and just a heads up, switching to UEFI mode can sometimes require you to reinstall your current OS, so back up first.

Same here. Oh, and that error you're seeing is likely about Secure Boot—did you check if that's enabled in the BIOS too?

Agreed. I had the same problem. I ended up having to enable Secure Boot *and* switch the BIOS to UEFI mode, not Legacy, before it finally worked. Let me know if that works.

This happened to me. I also had to find the exact TPM setting, which HP had buried under "Security > TPM Device" in my BIOS.
