Yeah, that error's a headache. Try running the Activation troubleshooter again but make sure you're connected to the internet first. Let me know if that works.

I had the same problem after my upgrade. I ended up having to use the "Activate by phone" option in the troubleshooter to get it sorted.

You could also try running the Activation troubleshooter again, but choose "I changed hardware on this device recently" when it prompts you. Hope that helps.

Yeah, that's a solid suggestion. Also, double-check that you're signed into the Microsoft account that was linked to your old Windows 10 license.

This. You could also try the slmgr /rearm command in an admin Command Prompt, that sometimes clears up upgrade activation glitches.

Another option is to manually re-enter your product key from your Windows 10 settings or retail card.

Same here. Before you do that, can you confirm if you're signed in with the same Microsoft account you used on Windows 10?

Can confirm. Yeah, and if you are using the same account, try the "Activate by phone" option in the troubleshooter—it often bypasses that error.

+1 Agreed, the phone method usually works. Also, try running the Activation troubleshooter again after a reboot—sometimes it just needs a fresh start. Let me know if that works.
