Has anyone else had major issues with the Windows 11 upgrade? My PC meets all the requirements, but the installer keeps failing with error code 0xC1900101. After it rolls back, I'm missing several features—my Bluetooth is completely gone from Device Manager and the battery saver option is missing from settings. I've run the troubleshooter, but no luck. Any ideas on how to get these back without a clean install?

Yeah this is common. That error code is usually driver related. First, try running the Windows Update Assistant separately instead of through Windows Update. If that fails, the quickest fix for your missing features is to use a system restore point from just before the upgrade attempt. If you don't have one, you might need to reset Windows 11, choosing the "keep my files" option, which is less drastic than a clean install. Let me know if that works.

+1 I had the same problem. I fixed it by manually downloading the latest chipset and Bluetooth drivers from my PC manufacturer's site before trying the upgrade again. Let me know if that works.

I had the same problem. For me, running the Windows Update troubleshooter and then a clean boot before trying again finally got it through.

+1 Yeah, and if that doesn't work, you might also try temporarily disconnecting any non-essential USB devices before the upgrade.

I had the same problem. What finally worked for me was using the Media Creation Tool to do a clean install instead of the in-place upgrade. Hope that helps.

You could also try using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant tool instead of the Windows Update method. Another option is to temporarily disconnect any non-essential peripherals before starting the upgrade.

Agreed. This happened to me. The rollback corrupted some drivers. I had to use the Media Creation Tool for a clean install to finally fix it. Good luck!

+1 I had the same problem. It also wiped my audio drivers, so I had to hunt those down separately after the clean install.
