Can confirm. Have you checked if TPM is actually enabled in your BIOS settings? Let me know if that works.

Yeah, you'll need to buy a physical TPM 2.0 module for that header. Also, double-check your BIOS for a setting called PTT (Intel Platform Trust Technology) and enable it, as that can sometimes work as a firmware TPM. Let me know if that works.

Trying to upgrade my Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, but the PC Health Check app keeps failing me on the TPM check. It says "This PC must support TPM 2.0." I'm confused because my motherboard (an ASUS Z370) definitely has a TPM header. Do I need to buy a separate module, or is there a setting in the BIOS I might have missed? The error code in the setup log is 0x80070490. Any help would be appreciated!

Same here. I had the same problem. My ASUS board had the header, but I had to go into the BIOS and manually enable the firmware TPM option.

Can confirm. Yep, exactly that—look for a setting called "Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT)" in your BIOS and enable it.

Yeah, Also, make sure your BIOS is fully updated before you go looking for that setting. Hope that helps.

This. Agreed. And if you do end up needing the module, they're usually pretty cheap and easy to install on that header.

Same here. Yeah, before you order anything, double-check that the TPM setting in your BIOS is actually enabled and not just set to "Discrete."

Thanks! I enabled PTT, but now it says my processor isn't supported. What do I do?
