Has anyone else hit a wall with Secure Boot during the Win11 upgrade? My PC meets all the other requirements, but the PC Health Check app keeps flagging Secure Boot as off. I’ve gone into the UEFI settings (a maze!) and it’s enabled there, but Windows still doesn’t see it. No specific error code, just the constant “PC doesn’t meet requirements” message. Really frustrating after double-checking everything. Any ideas what I’m missing?
Yeah, that was the key for me too. One extra tip: after switching to UEFI, you might need to clear the Secure Boot keys and then select "Load Factory Defaults" in that menu.
I had this exact same headache. From what I've seen, sometimes you need to switch the BIOS from CSM/Legacy mode to full UEFI mode, not just toggle Secure Boot on. That was my missing step.
This. Agreed, it's a common headache. A quick tip: try disabling Secure Boot, saving and exiting the BIOS, then going back in to re-enable it—that can sometimes make Windows recognize the change. Good luck!
Yeah, You could also check if your drive partition style is GPT, not MBR, as that's required alongside Secure Boot. Another option is to update your motherboard's UEFI firmware to the latest version.
+1 Agreed, that fix works. One extra tip: after enabling it in UEFI, you might also need to change the boot mode from Legacy/CSM to UEFI only. Good luck!
