My File Explorer icon has always been blue, but I saw a friend's PC where it was?

+1 Yeah, that's the way to go. Just make sure you right-click the shortcut on your taskbar to change the icon, not the one in your Start Menu.

Yeah, Oh, and you'll need to find or download a yellow folder icon file first. Good luck!

You can also try an icon pack app from the Microsoft Store if you don't want to change icons manually.

Just be careful with those apps—some can be a bit clunky or have ads.

Can confirm. I had the same problem. I ended up using a free icon pack and manually changing it, which was easier than I expected.

Same here. Oh, which icon pack did you end up using?

Oh, you used an icon pack? Could you tell me which one so I can try it?

Can confirm. Yeah, that's the way to go. A quick tip: after installing the pack, you might need to right-click the desktop, go to personalize, and select the new theme to apply it.

Same here. Oh, and just a heads-up, sometimes you need to restart your PC or File Explorer for the new icon to show up properly. Hope that helps.
