I upgraded my Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, but now it says it’s not activated. I’m getting error code 0xC004F213 in Settings. My original Windows 10 was a legitimate digital license tied to my Microsoft account. I’ve tried the “troubleshoot” option, but it just says it can’t activate right now. Has anyone else fixed this after an upgrade? I’d really appreciate some help.
This happened to me on my own PC. I had to manually sign out of my Microsoft account in the activation settings and then sign back in, and that did the trick.
Agreed. This happened to me on my own PC. I fixed it by signing out of my Microsoft account in the activation settings, rebooting, and then signing back in to reactivate.
I had this issue after upgrading my mom's laptop. From what I've seen, that error often means the activation servers didn't sync properly during the upgrade. What finally worked for us was just waiting a full day and then running the troubleshoot again—it sorted itself out.
