Agreed. Also, check if the microscope has a separate button or mode you need to switch to for file transfer instead of just the camera view.

You could also try a different USB cable, as sometimes the one included only handles power and not data transfer.

I had the same problem. Mine only worked with the original, super short cable it came with—longer cables just charged it.

+1 Yeah, that cable length thing is weird but true. Also, try pressing the microscope's 'photo' button after connecting it—sometimes it needs a nudge to switch into storage mode.

Same here. I had the same problem. It turned out I needed to use the specific, cheap cable that came with it—my better-quality cables didn’t work for data transfer.

Agreed. You could also check if there's a tiny physical switch on the microscope itself to change it from camera mode to storage mode.

Also, have you tried using a different USB cable, since some cables are for charging only?

+1 I had the same problem. For me, it was a specific USB port on my laptop that finally worked—the others just gave it power.

Same here. This happened to me. I had to use the original, very short USB cable that came with it; longer cables only charged it.

This. You could also check if the microscope has a specific button or mode you need to press to switch it into data transfer mode instead of just charging. Good luck!
