Yeah, I had the same problem with my 7700K. I ended up doing a clean install with a bootable USB, and it worked fine.

Same here. Yeah, it's frustrating they don't give a clearer reason, but that CPU is just past the cutoff.

That's a known workaround, but just a heads up, you might miss out on future security updates since that CPU is officially unsupported.

This. You could also try a clean install from a USB drive instead of using the upgrade assistant.

Yeah, that clean install trick often works. Just make sure you back up everything first.

Same here. You could also try using the Media Creation Tool directly, as it sometimes bypasses the stricter checks the upgrade assistant runs.

Yeah, that's a solid workaround. Also, double-check for any pending BIOS updates from your motherboard manufacturer, as that can sometimes resolve compatibility flags.

+1 And make sure you're fully updated on Windows 10 itself before trying again.
