Same here. I had the same problem. I ended up downloading a free icon pack and using a simple .ico file to replace it manually.

+1 Yeah, that's the way to go. Just make sure you right-click the shortcut on your taskbar to change the icon, not the one in your Start Menu.

You can also try an icon pack app from the Microsoft Store if you don't want to change icons manually.

Just be careful with those apps—some can be a bit clunky or have ads.

Can confirm. Yeah, that's the way to go. A quick tip: after installing the pack, you might need to right-click the desktop, go to personalize, and select the new theme to apply it.

Same here. Oh, and just a heads-up, sometimes you need to restart your PC or File Explorer for the new icon to show up properly. Hope that helps.
