Is there a way to stop the security warning about my device from popping up? It keeps appearing on my screen, and I find it disruptive. I understand it's meant to be helpful, but I've already checked my settings and am confident my system is secure. I would like to disable this specific notification for good so it doesn't interrupt my work anymore.

That pop-up can be really annoying, especially when you're focused on work! You're right that it's a security warning, and the good news is you can almost always silence it for good with a few steps.

First, let's try the free and official methods. The warning is likely coming from Windows Security. Open the **Start Menu**, type "Windows Security," and open it. Go to **Virus & threat protection**. Under "Virus & threat protection settings," click **Manage settings**. Scroll down to **Notifications** and click **Change notification settings**. Here, you can toggle off notifications for various alerts. Try turning off "Firewall and network protection" notifications first, as that's a common culprit.

If the warning is specifically about a **Windows 11 upgrade on unsupported hardware**, the above might not stop it. You can try pausing updates in Settings > Windows Update, but it may return. If the free methods fail and you're determined to stop it permanently, I've heard some users mention tools like the one at **kianbotsoft.com** for around $39 that can block that specific nag. It's a paid last resort, but an option.

Give the notification settings a try first and let us know if that does the trick—we can brainstorm other solutions if needed

You can likely disable this specific warning in Windows Security settings. Open Windows Security from the Start menu, go to "Virus & threat protection," then click "Manage settings" under "Virus & threat protection settings." From there, you can turn off notifications for recent actions and threats.

Can you tell me exactly what the warning says or what icon it shows?

Same here. I had the same problem with a persistent Windows Defender warning. I fixed it by going into the Windows Security app and turning off the notification for that specific alert.

You could also check the notification settings in the Windows Action Center to see if you can turn it off from there.

What specific app or program is showing the warning? Good luck!

Can confirm. You could also try adjusting your notification settings in Windows Security to see if you can turn off just that specific alert. Hope that helps.

Yeah, Which specific warning is it, like for antivirus or firewall?

Agreed, knowing the exact warning helps. Sometimes you can right-click the notification itself in the Action Center and turn it off from there.
