Has anyone else hit a wall trying to upgrade? My PC runs Windows 10 fine, but the PC Health Check app says my CPU isn't supported. It's an Intel Core i7-7700K. I keep getting the error "This PC doesn't meet the minimum system requirements" with no other details. It seems arbitrary since this was a high-end chip not long ago. Is there a workaround, or am I really stuck buying new hardware just for Windows 11?

Same here. I had the same problem with my 7700K. I ended up doing a clean install with a USB drive, and it's been running perfectly on Windows 11. Let me know if that works.

Not 100% sure, but Hey, that's a super common frustration with the 7th Gen Intel chips. Microsoft's official list is pretty strict, but there are workarounds like a clean install using the Media Creation Tool and bypassing the TPM/CPU checks. I've helped a few folks through it—if you want to give that a shot, just say the word and I can walk you through the steps.

Can confirm. You could also try using the official Media Creation Tool instead of the PC Health Check app, as it sometimes bypasses that restriction.

Yeah, that's a solid workaround. Also, double-check your TPM settings in BIOS, as that's often the silent culprit.

Agreed. And make sure your BIOS is fully updated too, sometimes that's the missing piece.

Yeah, I had the same problem with my 7700K. A clean install from a USB drive worked when the upgrade assistant kept failing.

Can confirm. Yeah, that's a common snag with the 7th-gen Intel chips. You can try the Windows 11 Installation Assistant directly from Microsoft's site—it sometimes bypasses that block.
