Had the same problem. Yeah, that's a common issue after an upgrade. I'd recommend checking your power plan settings, as Windows 11 sometimes defaults to a balanced mode that can throttle performance. Also, try disabling some of the new visual effects like transparency and animations, which can really bog down older hardware.

Have you checked if your laptop meets the minimum system requirements for Windows 11? Hope that helps.
Ever since I upgraded from Windows 10 to 11, my laptop has been running painfull?

Ever since I upgraded from Windows 10 to 11, my laptop has been running painfully slow. Boot-up takes forever, and simple tasks like opening File Explorer cause a noticeable lag. I don't see any specific error codes, but the system just feels sluggish and unresponsive. I've run the basic Windows Update and driver checks. Has anyone else experienced this after upgrading? Any advice on what to check next would be really appreciated.

Same here. Agreed, that upgrade can really bog down older hardware. A quick tip: try disabling some of the new visual effects in Settings > Accessibility > Visual Effects to free up some resources.

Agreed. I had the same problem. What finally helped me was going into Power Options and setting the plan to "High Performance" instead of balanced.

This. Yeah, that's a solid fix. Also, try disabling startup apps you don't need—it made a big difference for my boot time. Let me know if that works.

+1 Have you checked if your drivers, especially for the graphics and chipset, are updated for Windows 11? Let me know if that works.

This. Yeah, that's a solid suggestion. Also, try running the built-in Disk Cleanup tool to clear out any leftover upgrade files that might be bogging things down.
