Oh man, that's a really rough situation, I'm sorry you're dealing with that. That error code is a real pain. First, don't panic—there are a few things we can try to get your files back and get you running again. Let me know if you need a step-by-step walkthrough for the recovery options.

Can confirm. Yeah, that error's a real headache. One thing to try from that recovery screen is the startup repair option—it sometimes can fix the boot files without wiping your stuff.

Ouch, that sounds rough. Have you tried booting from a Windows 10 USB to run a repair?
Has anyone else had the upgrade to Windows 11 fail and completely break their Wi?

Has anyone else had the upgrade to Windows 11 fail and completely break their Windows 10 installation? The update failed with error code 0xc1900101, and now my PC just boots to a blue recovery screen saying it needs to be repaired. I can't roll back or access any of my files. What are my options to recover my system without losing everything? I don't have a recent backup.

Glad I'm not alone. Same issue on my PC.

Have you tried booting from a Windows 10 USB to see if you can run a repair or access your files? Good luck!

Same here. Also, do you have a recent backup or system restore point you could check for? Hope that helps.

Yeah, You could also try pulling the drive and connecting it to another PC to rescue your files first.

Agreed. If not, you might need to boot from a Windows 10 USB to try a repair or access your files.
