I'm trying to upgrade my Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, but I have a dual-boot set?

I'm trying to upgrade my Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, but I have a dual-boot setup with Linux. The Windows 11 installer keeps failing with error code 0x80070003. It seems to get stuck checking for space. Do I need to remove my Linux partition entirely for the upgrade to work, or is there a way to keep my dual-boot intact? Really don't want to lose my Linux setup.

Same here! Thought it was just me.

Thanks! I removed the Linux partition like you suggested, but now my computer just boots straight to Windows. How do I get back to the menu to choose between them?

Agreed. Before you try that, can you confirm if your main Windows drive has at least 64GB of free space available?

This. You'll need to repair the Windows bootloader; try opening an admin command prompt and running "bcdboot C:\Windows".

Yeah, that should fix the boot issue. Also, temporarily disconnect any extra drives you aren't using for the upgrade to avoid confusion.

Can confirm. Agreed, and one more thing—make sure your Windows drive is set as the first boot option in BIOS before starting the upgrade.

Having the same issue here. Any updates?

Same here. Yeah, that error's usually a storage driver or disk access issue. Try temporarily disabling the Linux bootloader from your BIOS before running the upgrade, that often fixes it.

Yeah, You could also try running the Windows 11 Installation Assistant instead of the Media Creation Tool, as it sometimes handles complex partitions better. Let me know if that works.
