Has anyone else had boot issues after trying to upgrade from Windows 10 to 11? My PC restarted, but now it just gets stuck on a black screen with a spinning circle. Sometimes it flashes a quick error—I think it said "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE"—before restarting again. I can't even get to the recovery options. Any ideas on how to fix this without losing my files?

I had this issue on my older laptop. From what I have seen, that error often means a driver conflict, usually with storage or security software. You might need to boot from a Windows 11 USB and try a repair install, which should keep your files.

This. I had the same problem. I fixed it by booting from a USB and running the startup repair.

Agreed. This happened to me. I got that exact error and had to use a USB installer to get into the recovery options.

Can confirm. Yeah, that's the way to go—did you end up having to do a clean install from that USB, or were you able to repair it?

I had the same problem. I ended up having to boot from a USB and do a clean install, which was a pain.

Thanks! I made the USB, but when I try the repair install it says my drive is locked with BitLocker. I don't remember turning that on—what do I do?

Yeah, same fix sorted mine out. One extra tip: if you're still stuck, try disconnecting any USB drives before the reboot.
