Same here. Yeah, agreed. One thing that sometimes helps is closing absolutely everything else before running the upgrade, even background apps.

Has anyone else hit a wall trying to upgrade? My Windows 10 PC meets the CPU and TPM requirements, but the PC Health Check app keeps saying I don't have enough RAM. I have 6GB installed, which I know is the bare minimum for 11. The upgrade assistant fails with an error, but doesn't give a code. Should this work, or is 6GB genuinely not enough to even start the upgrade?

So basically, I had this issue with a family member's older laptop. Even though 6GB is the listed minimum, the upgrade process itself seems to need a bit more headroom to run smoothly. From what I have seen, you might need to bump it up to 8GB to get past that check.

+1 You could also try creating a Windows 11 installation USB on another PC and running the setup directly from that, as it sometimes bypasses the stricter upgrade assistant checks.

Same here. I had the same problem. I had to free up a ton of space on my drive before it finally let the upgrade go through.

This. I had the same problem. Even with 8GB, it failed until I ran the Windows Update troubleshooter and cleared out the SoftwareDistribution folder.
