Has anyone else hit a wall trying to upgrade to Windows 11? My PC meets the CPU and TPM requirements, but the PC Health Check app keeps failing me on RAM. I have 4GB installed and it runs Windows 10 fine, but the app says I need more. Is this an absolute block, or is there a workaround? The error just says "Doesn't meet minimum system requirements" with the RAM box unchecked.
Quick tip: Hey there, that's a super common frustration. Unfortunately, 4GB of RAM is now below the official minimum for Windows 11, so it's an absolute block for the standard upgrade. You'd need to upgrade your RAM to at least 8GB to proceed.
Feel free to post your PC's model or motherboard if you want help figuring out what RAM to buy! Let me know if that works.
Had the same problem. Yeah, that's an absolute block, 4GB is below the official minimum. You'd need to upgrade your RAM to at least 8GB to pass the check.
Yeah, this happened to me as well. I tried a registry edit workaround I found online, but it caused so many stability issues I ended up just adding more RAM like the other person said. Hope that helps.
You could also try a clean boot to see if background software is interfering with the check. Another option is to just run the upgrade manually from the Microsoft website instead of using the PC Health Check app.
