Has anyone else had privacy settings completely reset after upgrading to Windows 11? My microphone and camera access for apps got re-enabled, and now some programs I blocked are asking for permission again. I also got a weird "Settings page unavailable" error (code 0x80070005) when trying to check my activity history. Is this normal, and what's the best way to lock everything back down?

+1 Yeah, that error code usually means a permissions hiccup with the Windows Apps folder—have you tried running the troubleshooter yet?

So basically, I had this issue after my upgrade last month. It's pretty common for privacy settings to get wiped during a major update. I just went through each section in Settings and turned everything off again, and it's been fine since.

+1 I had the same problem. That error code popped up for me too, and I had to go back and manually re-block everything, which was a real pain.

Agreed, and a quick tip: run a quick privacy check after any major update, as they often revert those app permissions. Good luck!

You could also try resetting the Windows permissions service through the command prompt. Another option is to just manually re-disable each setting, as annoying as that is. Good luck!

Thanks! The troubleshooter fixed the error, but now my camera light is on even when no apps are open. Is that related?
