Has anyone else run into driver problems after upgrading to Windows 11? My old printer (an HP LaserJet P1102w) just won't work now, and I'm getting a "Driver Unavailable" error in Devices. Also, my touchpad feels really laggy and sometimes stops responding for a few seconds. I've checked Windows Update, but it says I have the latest drivers. Any tips on where to find the right ones or force Windows to recognize the old hardware?

Had the same problem. I had this issue with an older scanner after upgrading. From what I've seen, Windows 11 sometimes drops support for really old hardware. For your printer, I'd go directly to HP's website and look for Windows 11 drivers there, even if you have to try a Windows 10 driver in compatibility mode.

Yeah, that's solid advice. This might help too: try running the HP printer troubleshooter in Windows Settings, it sometimes finds those missing drivers automatically.

Yeah, Agreed, and for the touchpad lag, try checking for a specific driver update from your laptop manufacturer's website instead of just Windows Update. Let me know if that works.

Yeah, that HP tool is a lifesaver. For the touchpad lag, try going into Device Manager and checking if there's a newer driver under "Mice and other pointing devices" too. Let me know if that works.

This. Also, for the printer, HP has a specific troubleshooter tool on their site that can often force the right driver.

Agreed. I had the same problem with an old scanner after upgrading. Windows Update didn't have the right driver, so I had to manually install the last Windows 10 version from the manufacturer's site. Hope that helps.
