I’m trying to upgrade from Windows 10 to 11, but the PC Health Check app says my PC doesn’t meet the RAM requirements. I have 4GB installed, which runs Windows 10 fine. The error code I get is “This PC doesn't meet the minimum system requirements.” Is 4GB really not enough, or is there a workaround? I’d rather not buy new RAM if I can avoid it.

Ah, that's a common snag. Unfortunately, Windows 11 does officially require 4GB of RAM, so you're right at the very minimum—sometimes the check can be picky about that. There isn't a safe, supported workaround for the RAM requirement, so you'd likely need to upgrade to at least 8GB to proceed.
Feel free to post your PC's model if you want help figuring out what RAM to buy, and I can point you in the right direction!

Yeah, This happened to me with an older laptop. The 4GB requirement is strict, and I ended up needing to add more RAM to upgrade.

Yeah, and sometimes background apps eat up just enough to trip the check. Try closing everything you can and run it again.

Can confirm. Glad that helped! Just curious, did you end up upgrading your RAM or are you sticking with Windows 10 for now?

Thanks! I found some RAM, but now I'm getting an error about "TPM 2.0" when I try the upgrade. What does that mean?

+1 TPM 2.0 is a security chip your motherboard needs; you can check if it's enabled in your BIOS settings.

Yeah, that's the right fix. A quick tip: double-check your motherboard specs first to see what RAM it actually supports before buying new sticks.
