I’m trying to upgrade my Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, but the setup keeps failin?

I’m trying to upgrade my Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, but the setup keeps failing. I’m getting the error code 0x8007007F. The PC Health Check app says my PC doesn’t meet the RAM requirements. I currently have 6GB of RAM. Is that really the issue, and if so, is adding more RAM the only fix? I’d prefer not to buy a whole new computer just for this.

+1 I had the same problem. Upgrading to 8GB of RAM fixed it for me and the install went through without a hitch.

Yeah, the 6GB of RAM is definitely the problem since Windows 11 requires a minimum of 4GB, but realistically needs more to run smoothly, so adding more is your only fix.

Can confirm. I had the same problem with an old laptop. Upgrading to 8GB of RAM made the install go through without a hitch.

You could also try enabling TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot in your BIOS, as those are common requirements people miss.

Same here. I had the same problem with a different error code. For me, it was actually the TPM setting that was the main culprit, not the RAM.

Agreed. Yeah, that TPM thing is a common trip-up. Also, double-check your BIOS is fully updated before you try again. Good luck!
