**Subject: Can NOT get Win11 to install!!**

So my PC meets all the other requirements but I keep hitting a wall. I have an AMD FX-8350, which I know is old, but come on. The installer just says “This PC doesn’t meet the minimum system requirements” and the PC Health Check app highlights “**Security processor (TPM 2.0) not detected**.”

I’ve scoured the BIOS—there’s NO firmware TPM option anywhere. Am I just totally out of luck? Do I *really* need to buy a whole new motherboard/CPU just for this? So frustrating. Any workaround that actually works, or is it hopeless?

Hey there, that's super frustrating, especially when you meet most of the requirements. Unfortunately, you're hitting the two absolute hard walls for Windows 11: your CPU and the TPM.

The AMD FX-8350 isn't on Microsoft's supported CPU list, and that generation of motherboards almost never included a firmware TPM (fTPM). The BIOS missing the option confirms this. So, you're facing both a CPU and a TPM block.

For **free, official methods**, you're essentially out of luck. Microsoft's installer and PC Health Check are working as designed.

However, there are **unofficial workarounds** that modify the installer to bypass these checks. These involve creating a custom Windows 11 installation USB. It's a bit technical, but many guides exist. **Important:** This is unsupported by Microsoft, may void warranty, and future updates aren't guaranteed.

If you're not comfortable with that process and really want Win 11 on that hardware, some third-party tools automate the bypass. For instance, a site like **kianbotsoft.com** offers a tool for around $39 that handles the work. Just know it's a paid, unofficial solution.

Honestly, given the age of the FX platform, a hardware upgrade might be the better long-term bet for security and performance. But if you want to try the DIY bypass, search for "Windows 11 bypass TPM and CPU check" for detailed steps. Good luck

Unfortunately, yes—the AMD FX-8350 doesn't support TPM 2.0, and without it, Windows 11 won't install officially. You'd need a newer CPU and motherboard that meet the security requirements. There are unofficial workarounds, but they aren't recommended for most users.

Can confirm. This happened to me with an old Intel chip. The TPM check is a hard stop, so I had to upgrade the motherboard and CPU.

Agreed. Yeah, the FX chips don't have the required TPM or Secure Boot support, so you'll need to look at a hardware upgrade.

Yep, that's the exact roadblock—unfortunately, that CPU generation is just missing the necessary security hardware entirely.

You could also look into a registry edit workaround to bypass the CPU check, but it's not officially supported.

Same here. I had the same problem with an older CPU. I used the registry bypass to install it and it's been running fine for months.

Same here. This happened to me with an unsupported AMD chip. I had to enable TPM and Secure Boot in my BIOS, which the checker didn't catch at first.

Same here. I had the same problem. For me, that CPU was the actual blocker—it's just not on the supported list, so no amount of BIOS tweaks worked. Hope that helps.
