Can confirm. I had the same problem. I ended up sticking with Windows 10 on that machine, and it runs perfectly fine.

This. Yeah, the 4GB minimum is for RAM that's actually accessible to the system. Agreed with the above, and a quick tip: try running the setup again with nothing but essential peripherals plugged in, as sometimes other hardware can cause a false flag.
