Yeah, and if your BIOS update still shows TPM 1.2, you might be out of luck for an official upgrade, as that's a hardware limitation on some older boards.

This. Agreed. You could try a clean install with the media creation tool as a last resort, but it'll likely still block you.

Yeah, I had the same problem on an older laptop. It turned out the TPM chip was physically a 1.2 version, so no amount of BIOS tweaking could fix it. Good luck!

Have you checked if your specific ASU motherboard model has a firmware update that might enable TPM 2.0?

Yeah, that's a good call. Sometimes a BIOS update can unlock TPM 2.0 support even if it's not showing now. Good luck!
