I had this issue with my own 7700K. From what I have seen, it's purely about the generation—Microsoft requires 8th Gen Intel or newer for the official upgrade path. It's a hard requirement, so the health check app is working correctly, even if it feels arbitrary. Let me know if that works.

Has anyone else hit a wall with the Windows 11 upgrade check? My PC runs Windows 10 perfectly, but the PC Health App says my CPU isn't supported. It's an Intel Core i7-7700K. I keep getting the "This PC doesn't meet the minimum system requirements" error. I'm confused because it's a 64-bit, 4-core CPU. Is there really no way around this, or am I missing something?

You could also try using the official Media Creation Tool to force the upgrade, as it sometimes bypasses the stricter hardware check.

Yeah, that list is really strict. A quick tip: you can still install it manually if you're comfortable with the risks.

Agreed. I had the same problem with my i7-7700K. It's a hard block from Microsoft's supported CPU list, so the checker won't budge.

Yeah, that CPU is actually on the cusp—did you double-check if TPM 2.0 is enabled in your BIOS?

You could also try using the official Microsoft PC Health Check app's detailed report to see the exact requirement you're missing.

Thanks! So if it's a hard requirement, is there any safe way to upgrade at all, or am I just stuck on Windows 10 forever?
