Agreed. It's a pretty common post-upgrade headache. One extra thing: running the built-in privacy troubleshooter sometimes helps clear those permission errors.

Same here. This happened to me after the 23H2 update. I had to go through and manually turn everything off again, which was a real pain.

This. Also, double-check that your user account has full administrator permissions, as that error can sometimes pop up if it doesn't.

This. I had the same problem after the last update. It took me a good twenty minutes to go through and lock everything back down again.

This happened to me too, and that same error code popped up. A quick restart actually let me change the settings again.

Yeah, that restart trick worked for me as well, but it's still annoying that it reset in the first place.
