Yeah this is common. Hey there! That's a super common headache with the Z370 boards, so you're definitely not alone. I'd double-check that the fTPM is set to "Firmware TPM" and not "Discrete TPM" in the BIOS, and also make sure you're on the very latest BIOS version from ASUS, as older versions had buggy TPM implementations. I had the same problem on my ASUS board. I had to clear the TPM in the BIOS after enabling it before the check would finally pass.

Trying to upgrade my Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, but the PC Health Check app keeps failing me on the TPM check. My motherboard is an ASUS Z370-A, and I’ve gone into the BIOS to enable both fTPM and Secure Boot. The app just says “This PC must support TPM 2.0” with no other error code. Has anyone with a similar older board gotten this to work, or am I just out of luck?

Thanks! I cleared the TPM like you said, but now it's asking for a BitLocker recovery key. Is that normal?

Agreed. You could also try updating your BIOS to the latest version, as that sometimes resolves TPM detection issues. Another option is to manually check if your TPM is detected correctly in the Device Manager under Security devices.

Also, have you double-checked that your BIOS is fully updated? Sometimes an older version can cause issues with TPM.

This. I had the same problem with my ASUS board. I had to update my BIOS to the latest version before the TPM setting actually stuck. Good luck!
